Wine Fair 2025: AIC and Città del Vino support the Piacenza Expo market exhibition

The event scheduled for November 22nd to 24th is strengthened thanks to new sponsorships. The technical committee, guarantor of quality for the selected companies, is also growing.

From 22 to 24 November 2025, the Fiera dei Vini returns to Piacenza Expo, which in its third edition is enriched with new and prestigious sponsors : AIC – Associazione Italiana Cuochi and Associazione Nazionale Città del Vino. Two entities of national importance that, with complementary skills, will contribute to expanding the offer of the event. Founded to promote Italian cuisine in the world through events, conferences, dialogue with institutions and competitions such as the Cucina Olimpica, the AIC – Associazione Italiana Cuochi will create show cooking dedicated to typical local products and traditional dishes during the three days of the event. “Supporting the Fiera dei Vini means promoting a moment of high cultural and professional value, where wine excellence meets gastronomic excellence. It is also a precious opportunity for us chefs to strengthen the dialogue with producers, sommeliers, restaurateurs and experts in the sector with a view to shared growth – explains President Simone Falcini –. Wine, like cuisine, is an expression of territory, history and change. This is why we believe that the event organized by Piacenza Expo represents a strategic event to support and enhance: its strength lies in its ability to attract an attentive and competent public, enhancing selected products and creating authentic connections between professionals in the agri-food chain. It is also through events like this that the future of Italian catering is built, increasingly attentive to quality and sustainability”.

The National Association of Wine Cities , a network of municipalities that are custodians of winemaking traditions and territorial entities, custodians of at least one DOP or IGP, also recognizes the strategic value of the event. “The National Association of Wine Cities strongly supports the Wine Fair,” says President Angelo Radica . “For us, it’s about contributing to the success of an event that is already growing and that represents an important opportunity for winemakers, restaurateurs, wine merchants, sommeliers and administrators to interact in real time with each other and with the evolution of a sector that requires continuous study and updates. Wine is culture, identity but also the future, and the Wine Fair is an exceptional venue that should be promoted.” A judgment also shared by Paolo Grazia , coordinator of Città del Vino for Emilia-Romagna: “The characteristic of the Fiera dei Vini to focus on the public and selected exhibitors guarantees the high quality of the event, which is increasingly establishing itself as a point of reference not only at a regional level, but also at a national level. The exchange of knowledge and innovations make showcases like this essential for the growth of our sector”. The technical committee of the market exhibition, established since its debut to protect the value proposition through the careful selection of exhibiting companies and to guide the training content of the event, is also enriched . Four high-profile figures are part of it. Alongside Antonello Maietta , Former President of AIS – Italian Sommelier Association, journalist and food and wine popularizer, Vito Intini , President of ONAV – National Organization of Wine Tasters, and Roberto Donadini , President of FISAR – Italian Federation of Sommeliers, Hoteliers and Restaurateurs, Giuliano Boni , wine educator and consultant with over 30 years of experience in the wine sector.

“With these premises, our Wine Fair presents itself with a growing edition, renewed in content and strengthened in collaborations – declares Sergio Copelli , General Coordinator of Piacenza Expo –. An event that focuses on the culture of wine, the bond with the territory and the quality of relationships between winemakers, professionals and wine lovers, constituting a strategic opportunity for the world of Italian wine”.
