Eight events are scheduled in the company’s Wine Center to liven up the autumn season and welcome the Christmas period.
Val d’Oca opens the autumn season with a rich calendar of proposals designed to enhance the meeting between territory, culture and food and wine. The Wine Center of Valdobbiadene starting from the month of October will reopen its doors to visitors and wine enthusiasts with a program of events that celebrate Prosecco di Valdobbiadene through the encounter with music, gastronomy, art and local traditions.
The first event will be held on Sunday 6 October at 18:00 with the final concert of the ValdobbiadeneJazz festival: Josmil Neris, a Dominican singer who with the project Quiero El Sur celebrates her Spanish and Afro-Caribbean origins in music, will perform an exciting live performance of original arrangements and jazz improvisation. Participants will be able to let themselves be transported by the enveloping melodies of South America, immersed in the scenery of the Valdobbiadene hills while tasting a selection of Val d’Oca wines.
Friday 11 October will be the turn of AperiDOCG – The end of harvest aperitif . From 6:30 pm the Wine Center will come alive to celebrate the end of the harvest, offering those present the opportunity to taste Val d’Oca wines and delight their palates with menus from selected food trucks, with live music.
Sunday 13 October Flavours of Autumn will be a lunch dedicated to seasonal delights, with a menu created specifically to enhance the aromas and scents of a selection of Prosecco Val d’Oca. For art lovers, the afternoons of Saturday 19 and Saturday 26 October will instead be dedicated to Apericlay , a ceramic modeling course led by the Treviso artist Cinzia Re. Each session will be enriched by the tasting of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Millesimato Extra Dry.
On Thursday, October 24 , from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., the Wine Center will host a cooking workshop dedicated to the art of sushi in collaboration with Sushisociety of Milan. On this occasion, participants will be able to learn the fundamental techniques for preparing rice, cutting fish and making uramaki, hosomaki and nigiri rolls. The experience will be accompanied by a tasting of Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Val d’Oca.
On Sunday 24 November the Trevigiano Chamber Ensemble will perform the famous Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi, taken from the opera Il Cimento dell’Armonia e dell’Inventione with which the composer wanted to describe nature. The musical ensemble is made up of a solo violin, first stuffed violin, second stuffed violin, viola, cello and harpsichord.
The event will end on Sunday 1st December with the lighting of the Christmas Tree , the magical moment that marks the transition from autumn to the winter holidays. In the afternoon, visitors to the winery will be welcomed by an atmosphere of warm conviviality, enriched by the melodies of a gospel choir. Between hot chocolate and panettone, Uvaggio Storico Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Dry will be served, an authentic expression of the territory that combines the traditional Glera with the native varieties Perera, Bianchetta and Verdiso, a perfect toast to celebrate the beginning of the holidays.
“Autumn is a special time for us, the period in which we reap the fruits of our labor and share them with those who love our territory,” explains Stefano Gava , General Manager. “With these event proposals, we wish to offer visitors experiences that combine the quality of our wines with the beauty of the Valdobbiadene Hills and the richness of our culture.”
