From Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July the historic centre of Tollo (Chieti) will celebrate the town’s wineries and the local food and wine tradition.
After the success of the first edition, the Tollo Wine Festival returns for the second time to animate the historic center of Tollo (Chieti). From Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July , the event organized by the Pro Loco Tolle Me APS of Tollo together with Cantina Tollo, the Municipality and the Consorzio Tullum Docg, will transform Piazza Caduti di Nassiriya in a real hub of taste , where the absolute protagonist will be the wine of the local companies , together with the best gastronomic specialities of Abruzzo.
During the three days it will be possible to taste all the references of Cantina Tollo and Feudo Antico , as well as Vigneti Radica and the Cooperativa Agricola Coltivatori Diretti di Tollo . Also to be tasted are the excellences of Tullum Docg , one of the smallest denominations of origin in Italy, represented by the relative Consortium for the protection.

With this second edition we want to consolidate the initiative and make it a regular event for all enthusiasts of the world of wine, culture and conviviality”.

The company stands and those dedicated to the local culinary specialties will offer a rich selection of local flavors curated by the Pro Loco”.
In addition to the tasting tables and food stands , open from 8.00 pm , the Tollo Wine Festival programme will include live music events: Friday 11th July the stage will be all for the New Tones , a Roman rock ‘n’ roll trio inspired by the sounds of the Doo Wop bands of the ’50s and ’60s, Saturday will be the turn of Bicchierino , an irreverent cover band dedicated to Rino Gaetano, while on Sunday the event will be enlivened by the engaging music of DJ Trapano.
On Sunday 13 July , at 7pm , the conference Viaggi diVini: the future of tourism passes through the glass will also be held: “It will be a moment of study and discussion focused on wine tourism as an important driver of territorial valorization and local development – communicates Angelo Radica , national President of the Città del Vino association and Mayor of Tollo – which will see the participation of institutional representatives, trade associations and experts in the sector”.
Entrance to the event costs 12 euros and includes a carnet with three tastings and a kit with a pocket and glass.
