TOMMASI FAMILY ESTATES: A JOURNEY INTO WINE BETWEEN VALPOLICELLA, MONTALCINO AND BASILICATA

From Villa Quaranta to Basilicata, three destinations designed by Tommasi to experience the culture of wine between Valpolicella and Montalcino.

A story that starts from the land and arrives at the welcome, where every detail speaks of wine, territory and the art of living. This is the vision of Tommasi Family Estates , a historic Veronese wine family with a consolidated presence in the main Italian denominations, which has made wine tourism a central element of its cultural commitment.

At Villa Quaranta Tommasi Wine Hotel & SPA , a historic seventeenth-century residence immersed in the vineyards of Valpolicella Classica, summer comes to life with events, tastings and moments dedicated to wellness. The first appointment is the Salotto Divino – Summer Edition , scheduled for July 4, 2025 : an outdoor evening in an exclusive location by the pool during which the great Tommasi wines, and not only, are paired with the cuisine of the Borgo Antico Restaurant in a relaxed and refined atmosphere, enriched by live music.

Summer continues with the Aperi‑Wine360 series of events, designed to offer an informal tasting moment between the Corticella and the Bottega del Gusto. Each meeting offers two glasses selected by Tommasi sommeliers, among which Amarone and Valpolicella Classico Superiore naturally stand out, accompanied by three tastings studied ad hoc.

The calendar concludes with the Dinner under the Stars , scheduled for August 8, 2025 : a seated dinner in the suggestive historic Corticella, under the summer sky of Valpolicella.

Those who wish to extend their stay can count on the integrated offer of wellness and hospitality: 76 elegant rooms, a thermal SPA with wine therapy courses, the gourmet restaurant inside the manor house and numerous proposals for themed weekends.

Just a few minutes from Villa Quaranta, the Tommasi winery in Pedemonte is also open to enthusiasts with guided tours and tastings. Here you can discover the secrets of the winemaking of Amarone and other wines of the Valpolicella Classica, exploring the historic barrel cellar and the architecture of the new underground barrel cellar, a virtuous example of sustainability and elegance. An authentic experience in the productive heart of the Tommasi family.

During the summer, Tommasi will also be a protagonist outside its own spaces: the family will participate in the 67 Colonne per l’Arena project, in support of the Fondazione Arena di Verona, and will be present at “Vinitaly – The Opera Ouverture 2025” , in the Gran Guardia in Verona from 4 July to 30 August, with a selection of its labels.

In Casisano , in the south-eastern quadrant of Montalcino , hospitality becomes intimate and contemplative. The estate, overlooking the Abbey of Sant’Antimo, offers guided tours of the vineyards and panoramic tastings of Rosso and Brunello di Montalcino, including vertical tastings. It is possible to stay overnight in the structure to live an immersive experience in the heart of the most authentic Tuscany.

Tommasi’s wine tourism also arrives in Basilicata , with Paternoster , a historic winery in Vulture and a point of reference for Aglianico. Here, in the heart of Barile, you can discover the authentic face of a volcanic territory through visits to the winery, walks through the vineyards and tastings that include the award-winning   Don Anselmo. An opportunity to explore one of the most fascinating denominations of Southern Italy , still genuine and full of potential.

Tommasi with Villa Quaranta, Casisano and Paternoster represent three complementary ways of experiencing wine: the dynamism and culture of hospitality in Valpolicella, the balance of the Tuscan landscape, the ancestral energy of Vulture. In all cases, wine tourism according to Tommasi is a journey of discovery and valorization, where hospitality, sustainability and authenticity intertwine in a coherent and timeless narrative.
