THE VALTÈNESI CONSORTIUM EXPANDS ITS HORIZONS: AN AUTUMN OF EVENTS, MEETINGS, AND NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO TELL THE DENOMINATION

From international events to wine festivals and local initiatives, the Consortium continues its program of promoting the denomination, involving companies, operators and wine lovers.

The Consorzio Valtènesi ‘s autumn calendar continues with a program of initiatives that emphasize the wines of the Denomination, the connection to the territory, and opportunities to meet with professionals, the press, and the public. Promotional activities continue with new events in Italy and abroad, from the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World in Athens to events dedicated to sustainability, wine culture, and the promotion of local products.

From October 20th to 23rd , the Valtènesi Consortium participated in the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World in Athens, an initiative promoted by the Italian Embassy, the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), and the Lombardy Region. The event brought together 15 Lombardy Consortia to showcase the region’s food and wine excellence through institutional meetings, discussions with industry professionals and the press, and a masterclass for students in the food and wine sector. This was an opportunity to promote Valtènesi wines internationally and strengthen dialogue with the Greek market.

On October 25 , the Valtènesi Consortium attended the Tre Bicchieri event in Rome, organized by Gambero Rosso , which saw six of its wineries receive recognition. The event represented an important opportunity to raise the profile of Valtènesi wine production and the award-winning companies, highlighting the quality of the region’s wines in the Italian wine scene.

The next event will be Saturday, October 31st , with the second part of Profumi di Mosto 2026 , hosted at the Casa del Vino della Valtènesi in Villa Galnica. Following the positive response of October 4th, the event returns from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a format that will allow you to meet the producers directly and deepen your knowledge of the denomination through the new vintages. Thirty wineries will be present and over 100 wines will be available for tasting . This is an opportunity to explore the rosés and reds of Valtènesi as well as the whites of San Martino della Battaglia and learn more about the work of the wineries that contribute to defining the winemaking profile of the Garda Riviera.

On November 5th , the Consortium will be in Desenzano del Garda for Riviera del Garda Sostenibile , an event dedicated to sustainable viticulture on the Riviera del Garda Classico, the promotion of the native Groppello and Tuchì grape varieties, and the relationship between wine production, the local area, and tourism. The program includes technical presentations, a roundtable discussion with representatives of institutions and the local area, and a final tasting of wines from the denominations protected by the Consortium. This will be an opportunity to discuss key issues for the future of the sector and the valorization of local resources.

The following day, November 6th , the Valtènesi Consortium will be a partner in the tenth anniversary of New Deals , taking place in Brescia. The day will begin with a session of meetings at the University of Brescia, followed by an aperitif and gala dinner at the Diocesan Museum. For the occasion, the Consortium will provide a selection of rosé, sparkling, and red wines to accompany the evening’s various moments. Collectible bottles with illustrated labels will also be produced as gifts for speakers and guests, continuing a formula already tested in the previous edition. The partnership also includes the Consortium’s presence on the initiative’s digital channels and official materials.

From November 6th to 9th, local wines will also be featured at the Merano WineFestival, a leading event for the wine industry, bringing together producers, professionals, and enthusiasts around the quality and culture of wine. Participation will provide a further opportunity to raise the profile of Valtènesi wineries and foster new opportunities for interaction and discussion with the public and industry professionals.

This intense period of activity will conclude with the general meeting of the Valtènesi Consortium members on November 12th, called to renew the company’s officers and elect the new Board of Directors . This is a significant step for the consortium, which will define the composition of the representative bodies and the work prospects for the coming years. Following the voting, the results will be shared through a dedicated institutional communication.

This calendar confirms the Valtènesi Consortium’s ongoing commitment to promoting the Denomination through initiatives aimed at diverse audiences and complementary contexts. The goal is to strengthen awareness of its wines and foster dialogue with the markets, while also promoting the companies and the Garda Riviera region.
