Val di Fassa, Top Wine 2950 for a toast of excellence on the Terrace of the Dolomites

On October 17th, the world’s highest wine tasting returns to Sass Pordoi, with views of the most beautiful Dolomite peaks, from the Marmolada to the Sassolungo, from the Tofane to the Pale di San Martino, all the way to the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Where the magic of the glass meets that of the landscape.

There are places where wine is tasted. And others where it becomes an experience to remember. This is the case of the Top Wine 2950 Symposium , which on Saturday, October 17, returns to the summit of Sass Pordoi , a “lunar” landscape in the heart of the Dolomites, at 2,950 meters above sea level, for its 26th edition . A now historic event that, year after year, brings some of the best oenological expressions of Trentino Alto Adige to the mountains while also creating connections with other territories .

From 10:00 am to 5:00 pm , experts, enthusiasts, and the simply curious can ascend to the heights with the legendary Sass Pordoi cable car, one of the most spectacular facilities in the Dolomites with its scenic ascent through the rocks, and embark on this sensory journey.

Various local producers will be present – Alois Lageder, Baron Longo, Bellaveder, Cantina Bolzano, Cembra Cantina di Montagna, Cantina Kaltern, Cantina Merano, Cantina Terlano-Cantina Andriano, Distilleria Pilzer, Dorigati, Fondazione Edmund Mach, Grigoletti, Klinger, Pfitscher, Tenuta Peter Sölva, the Teroldego Evolution group, and Vivallis-Valentini di Weinfeld – alongside the productions of the Consortium for the Protection of Irpinia Wines, wines from the Leuta company, Cortona (AR), and a selection of French wines.

To enhance the experience, the Top Wine dish , prepared for the occasion by chef Giovanni Gabrielli of Rifugio Maria , accompanied by refined single portions signed by the Charming Italian Chef Association , partner of the initiative.

The experience will be preceded on Friday, October 16th, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM , by a special masterclass entitled “Irpinia: Wines and Territory,” led by Roberto Anesi, AIS Best Sommelier 2017, and curated by the Consortium for the Protection of Irpinia Wines. This will be an opportunity to learn more about Irpinia DOCGs: Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino, and Taurasi, through significant labels and vintages.

Participation in the Top Wine Symposium on Saturday, October 17th, including the cable car ride and food, costs €85, while the masterclass on Friday, October 16th, including the cable car ride, costs €60. Reservations are required.
