The festival dedicated to Vernaccia di San Gimignano returns with its fourth edition, celebrating the historic “White Queen” in its territory: a weekend full of tastings, masterclasses, widespread events and entertainment.
Following the success of last year’s edition, which attracted approximately 1,500 wine lovers , Regina Ribelle – Vernaccia di San Gimignano Wine Fest returns from May 30th to 31st 2026. The festival dedicated to the famous Tuscan white wine, organized and promoted by the Vernaccia di San Gimignano Wine Consortium in collaboration with the Municipality of San Gimignano , takes on a particular historical significance, celebrating the 750th anniversary of the first documented attestation of Vernaccia di San Gimignano and the 60th anniversary of the granting of the DOC . This edition, while reflecting a centuries-old history, aims to continue to engage with the contemporary world, renewing the narrative of the denomination through languages, experiences, and content of great interest to consumers and enthusiasts, who are increasingly attentive to the identity, authenticity, and culture of the territory. The calendar will be packed with events, with initiatives spread throughout the historic center of San Gimignano : traveling tastings , themed masterclasses , meetings with producers , and workshops dedicated to food and wine pairing , in dialogue with Tuscan gastronomic excellence and the offerings of local restaurateurs. There will also be opportunities for cultural exploration and entertainment, including a captivating evening DJ set in the enchanting setting of the Rocca di Montestaffoli . As every year, the public days will be preceded by two days— May 28th and 29th —dedicated to the national and international press , with the presentation of new vintages, conferences, and tours of local wineries.
