The facility rose from the recovery of an old farm from the 18th century, which was dedicated to wine production, the only example of the aforementioned activity in the Vulture region.

In Piano Regio there are other buildings that, once finished, can be used as an high-level agritourism (the vicinity to Matera, European Capital of Culture 2019, only 30 minutes by car, is really interesting).

This facility has a great history: it was born in 1922, it has received a lot of national and international recognition (“5 Grappoli”, “Tre Bicchieri”, “Tre Stelle di Veronelli, “Top Hundred”) and it has been often featured on national TV.

The facility works perfectly; the only reason why the owner wants to sell it is because he can’t take care of it anymore for personal problems.

The building is made up of: a cellar, used for the transformation of the grapes, the ageing of fine wine and the bottling; a ground floor, used for wine tasting and meetings; a first floor, in which there are the administrative offices.

The underground floor is a fully equipped wine making facility, with three caves where we can find the durmast barrels and that support a constant temperature for the aging of the wine.

The ground floor is furnished with fine antique furniture that makes the location welcoming and comfortable; thus the living room appears very pleasant for the numerous summer visits (up to 50 people per day).

The fields are cultivated for 9 hectares with an Aglianico vineyard of recent implant and for 6 hectares with an IGP olive groove. There is also the possibility in the future to build another facility of 1500 sq m, ideal for a wine resort with wedding hall.

The vineyards have a good market value per hectare, since the facility is an approved producer of Aglianico DOC and DOCG.
