“Southern wines meet the European market”.
The renewed event , in collaboration with the Fiko restaurant, journalist Fred Nijhuis, and Radici del Sud , who spare no effort to contribute to the knowledge and dissemination of Southern Italian wines, will be held from October 21 to 23, 2025, at journalist Fred Nijhuis’s tasting room in the municipality of Tuil and at the Fiko restaurant in central Amsterdam . As usual, they will foster encounters between Southern Italian wines, operators, journalists, restaurateurs, and wine enthusiasts from all over the Netherlands.
Nicola Campanile, organizer of Radici del Sud, reiterates what he said at the last edition of Radici del Sud in June: “The presence of labels from almost all southern regions, from both small and large producers, is increasingly widespread in Northern Europe, thanks to the increased participation of wineries in fairs and events abroad, not to mention the significant improvement in quality in recent years.” Finally, it should be noted that although the quality of our wines is widely recognized abroad, the process of positioning them outside of Italy requires incisiveness and continuity in the target markets, both in terms of promotion and marketing, in order to bridge the gap with other national and international producers who have already established themselves on foreign markets for longer.
The event’s program includes a seminar on Southern Italian wines on October 21st, from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. Each registered winery will participate with a wine selected by journalist Fred Nijhuis. The seminar will be open to an audience of professionals, journalists, and restaurateurs selected through the journalist’s platform. On October 23rd, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the tasting tables will open , offering approximately 50 wines for free tasting at the Italian restaurant Fiko .
