Masi Wine Bar Munich Wins Gambero Rosso’s ‘Top Italian Restaurant’ 2025 Award

The authoritative guide awards, for the second consecutive year, the Masi Wine Bar in Munich as an excellence of Italian food and wine abroad.

For the second consecutive year, the Masi Wine Bar in Munich has won the prestigious recognition of the Gambero Rosso “Top Italian Restaurants” Guide , dedicated to the most authentic Italian food and wine experiences abroad (restaurants, pizzerias and wine bars).

At the awards ceremony, held on Wednesday 22 January at the Künstlerhaus in Munich, during the I Vini d’Italia tasting, Vitangelo Galluzzi, Head of Hospitality Services at the Masi Wine Experience, and Oscar Zorzetto, Operations Director of the Masi Wine Bar Munich , collected the award, which confirms the venue as one of the main destinations for lovers of Italian wine and cuisine in Munich.

Gambero Rosso calls the Masi Wine Bar in Munich a true little temple of Italian wine , with over 50 labels from multiple regions and a selection of old Amarone vintages. The elegant atmosphere blends with contemporary design and, according to the Italian restaurant guide, it is “ the ideal place for a relaxing break, sipping a glass of wine or a cocktail ”. This, together with the offer of refined Venetian appetizers and typical dishes of the region reinterpreted with creativity, makes it one of the 16 best Italian wine bars and restaurants in Munich. The original drinks based on Masi wines, prepared by an excellent team of bartenders – a novelty introduced in 2024 in the tasting experience – make this bar a true landmark in the city of Munich.

The Masi Wine Bar Munich is part of the Masi Wine Experience , a Masi wine tourism project that includes seven iconic locations, including the historic Masi and Serego Alighieri wineries in Valpolicella, Tenuta Canova in Lazise on Lake Garda, Canevel in the heart of the Valdobbiadene hills and Masi Tupungato in Mendoza, Argentina. The hospitality project also includes the exclusive Masi Wine Bar Al Druscié in Cortina d’Ampezzo and, of course, the Masi Wine Bar Munich, in the famous “Campari Haus” address on Maximilianstrasse in Munich.

MASI AGRICOLA: Masi is a leading producer of Amarone and has always passionately interpreted the values of the Venetian regions. In 2022 it celebrated the 250th harvest of the Boscaini family in the prized vineyards of the “Vaio dei Masi”, a valley in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica (1772-2022). Masi has recognized expertise in the Appassimento technique, practiced since the times of the ancient Romans, to concentrate color, sugars, aromas and tannins in wine, and is one of the historic interpreters of Amarone: its president, Sandro Boscaini, represents the sixth generation of the family that has helped create an Italian excellence with this wine. Today Masi produces five different Amarones, the widest and most qualified range offered to the international market. For almost fifty years it has launched an ambitious project to enhance historic wine estates, collaborating with the Counts Serego Alighieri, descendants of the poet Dante, owners of the estate that can boast the longest history and tradition in Valpolicella, and with the Counts Bossi Fedrigotti, a prestigious Trentino brand with vineyards in Rovereto, to which is added the historic château in the heart of Valdobbiadene of Canevel Spumanti, a winery renowned for its premium sparkling wines and part of the Masi group since the end of 2016. In 2023 Masi acquired Tenuta “Casa Re” in the Oltrepò Pavese, an area suited to the production of Pinot Nero grapes for sparkling wine. Masi bases its business on social, ethical and environmental values and has an important production of organic wines, both in the Veneto and on the Poderi del Bello Ovile estates in Tuscany and Masi Tupungato in Argentina. In line with its heritage, in March 2024 Masi approved the “Masi Green Governance” sustainability project which sees the adoption of the status of Benefit Company and the integration into the corporate purpose of additional activities with common benefit purposes, linked to social growth, the promotion and valorization of the culture of the Veneto, of the people, of the territory and of the environment.
