To celebrate this important milestone and to promote the wines and excellence of the Turin area, the Turin Chamber of Commerce is promoting the event “Torino DOC: the white wines that seduce” on Monday 12 May at Palazzo Birago to tell the story of the encounter between Pinerolese Bian Ver and Malvasia and the other whites from the Turin wine-growing areas.
The day is hosted in the prestigious rooms on the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Birago, the institutional headquarters of the Turin Chamber of Commerce, and is divided into several moments dedicated to communicators, Ho.Re.Ca. operators and the general public.
White wines will be the absolute protagonists with the Bian Ver, Malvasia (Moscata and aromatic Candia), Erbaluce, Baratuciat vines, but in the Enoteca space some reds will also be offered such as the Carema Doc, a fascinating mountain Nebbiolo, and various variations of the Freisa di Chieri Doc.
It starts at 10:00 , in the Sala Giunta, with a conference on the winemaking of white grapes in the Turin area as well as on the process of obtaining the new types of Doc Pinerolese.
