ROSATI AT SUNSET 2025

How Puglia is able to express its vocation for rosé wines in 52 different ways The story of the ONAV Tasters Monday 19 May, Trani.

“Rosati al Tramonto 2025” will be held on Monday 19 May 2025 , starting at 7:00 pm , an event organised by the ONAV BAT delegation (Barletta – Andria – Trani), in collaboration with Gabriele Renda of “Palazzo Filisio Hotel Regia Ristorante ”. With the suggestive view of the sunset over the sea, in the shadow of the majestic Cathedral of Trani, the evening will be entirely dedicated to a type of wine that deserves more attention and which has always been part of the Apulian identity.

Rosé wines are considered among the protagonists of aperitifs and meals in every season and the production of rosé wines in Italy has been constantly and significantly growing in recent years. In Puglia, a region historically dedicated to this production, in parallel with the DOC versions, the DOCG rosé labels are increasing. This means that the growth is not only quantitative, but also qualitative. The practice of bleeding, the removal of the must during the production of red wines to make rosé wines, has been abandoned almost everywhere in favor of a vinification with a brief contact with the skins. Rosé wines are now born already in the countryside, with the choice of vineyards that can provide the most suitable grapes and with slightly early harvests to preserve the necessary freshness.

For these reasons ONAV BAT has decided to organize the event that will be open to all interested with a ticket of € 20 (10 tasting tickets 2 food tickets). Entrance with mandatory reservation via the link: https://forms.gle/hHfq1S77pREAfEwX7
