Open Cellars throughout Italy with many new features in the name of present and future potential

Cantine Aperte, it’s just the beginning: unforgettable wines and experiences for guaranteed and quality wine tourism, which lasts all year round.

Walks with alpacas, visits to caves, tree watching, jeep and boat tours, botanical walks and walks with four-legged friends, swing lessons, cork processing workshops, exhibitions and markets set up inside the cellars. These and many other activities created by the producers of the Movimento Turismo del Vino, for an edition full of innovations that tells the present and future potential of Italian wine tourism from region to region.

The great celebration of wine tourism is upon us. On Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th , wineries across the country are preparing to welcome enthusiasts, families and anyone who wants to take a trip out of town, with a new program of activities. Cantine Aperte has written and continues to write the history of wine tourism in Italy, involving hundreds of enthusiasts and producers every year, all under the banner of hospitality and the correct culture of wine.

Cantine Aperte represents a true manifesto of the wine tourism sector – he underlines Violante Gardini Cinelli Colombini, president of MTV – and this year we have decided to aim even higher with a calendar of initiatives in the name of creativity, capable of combining wine, nature, culture and well-being. This edition will in fact be the showcase of wine tourism innovations, the opportunity to learn about the new initiatives created by each producer that, from now on, will be available throughout the year.”

A weekend that goes beyond tasting and turns into an authentic journey into the world of Italian wine, to learn more about the history of each producer and the beauty of each territory, region by region. Each winery will be the scene of unique experiences capable of combining tastings of excellent wines with itineraries to discover the territory, cultural moments and entertainment. The offer is enriched with wine trekking itineraries, yoga and pilates among the rows, walks with alpacas, horseback excursions, meetings with beekeepers, botanical tours, tree watching and many other opportunities to fully experience the most evocative landscapes in the surroundings of the wineries. In addition to the outdoor activities, cultural initiatives are also of great importance with craft and cork processing workshops, open-air painting courses, ceramic workshops, photography exhibitions, immersive itineraries among the sculptures and installations that decorate the vineyards and numerous performances with the presence of great artists.

Cantine Aperte will also offer great experiences from a culinary point of view in lunches and dinners with the winemaker with menus designed for the occasion based on seasonal and km0 products. And again: picnics in the vineyard, tastings of Extra Virgin olive oils but also spaces dedicated to food trucks and Mixology, to get to know wine in a new guise, inside cocktails, all to the sound of music with the organization of country-rock concerts, DJ sets and dance lessons.

There will be no shortage of initiatives dedicated to the little ones, such as treasure hunts among the vineyards, visits to educational farms and numerous themed workshops to learn about wine while having fun together with their parents and other children.

Some companies also organize visits inside the caves, others offer the possibility of experiencing a boat tour while others still offer a jeep safari, to admire the most suggestive views of each territory. In every place and in every circumstance, it is certain that Cantine Aperte 2025 will be a unique opportunity to discover and experience the world of wine like never before.

To all enthusiasts, a recommendation: drinking quality wine and in the right quantity is the only way forward . Reaffirming the importance of conscious and responsible wine consumption is, today more than ever, necessary and, in this direction, the collaboration between the Movimento Turismo del Vino and Wine in moderation continues, to continue promoting the correct culture of wine and a healthy lifestyle.

Company profile breve The history of Tenute Tomasella began in 1965 , when Luigi Tomasella founded the winery in Mansué, in the province of Treviso. After more than thirty years of producing bulk wine, the company passed into the hands of his son Paolo, the current owner, who revolutionized production, leading the company to sell most of its wine in bottles in the 2000s. Since then, Tenute Tomasella has carried out a production focused on the search for the best qualitative expression of its production, with an approach that seeks to have the least impact possible, respecting nature and biodiversity. For this reason, in the vineyard the work is manual for all varieties, with the exception of Glera, with selection of the grapes. 10th PRIZE TO THE VINARIUS TERRITORY: AFTER THE RECOGNITION TO THE TERRITORY OF MOUNTAINS AND VALLEYS OF TRENTINO, THE IN-DEPTH JOURNEY, WAITING FOR A SECOND IN OCTOBER

From 18 to 20 May, three days of study dedicated to the food and wine and cultural excellence of Trentino.

Following the assignment of the 10th Territory Award promoted by Vinarius – Associazione Enoteche Italiane , an in-depth trip is scheduled from 18 to 20 May that will take Vinarius members directly to the winning territory: Trentino . Last February, in fact, during a ceremony at the Senate of the Republic in Rome, the now historic award was conferred to the “ Montagne e Valli Trentine ”, a testimony to the important ability of this territory to combine high-quality wine production with a sustainable and environmentally friendly lifestyle model.

Vinarius wine merchants will therefore be able to discover and learn more about the territory thanks to a varied program developed in collaboration with the Consorzio Vini del Trentino , which is divided into three days dedicated to discovering the territory through its food and wine excellences and the beauty of the places. It begins on Sunday 18 with the arrival in Trento and a visit to the Consorzio Vini del Trentino and the Istituto Tutela Grappa, accompanied by a tasting of grappa and local cheeses, followed by dinner in the hotel.

Monday 19th is all about wine: in the morning we visit Palazzo Roccabruna, home of the Provincial Wine Shop, for a guided tasting. After lunch in Mezzolombardo, the afternoon is dedicated to the Edmund Mach Foundation for a technical meeting and a visit with tasting. The day ends with a gala dinner at Locanda Margon and the “Montagne e Valli Trentine” awards ceremony.

Tuesday 20th is dedicated to oil and landscape: we start with a trek on the Sentiero dell’Olivo in Arco, followed by a tasting of DOP Garda Trentino oil and wines at the Cantina Agraria Riva del Garda. The final lunch is held at the Cantina Madonna delle Vittorie, before returning.

Reaching the milestone of its tenth edition, the Vinarius Territory Award has established itself as a prestigious recognition, established by Vinarius to identify and celebrate those Italian geographical areas that, thanks to the work of their communities, manage to combine the production of high-quality wines with respect for the environment, cultural identity and the promotion of wine tourism. During the trip , two awards will be given to local figures who have best promoted and highlighted the excellence of the territory.

“It is in the nature of Vinarius to be deeply rooted in the territories, and initiatives like this represent a concrete expression of that vocation. – says Andrea Terraneo , President of Vinarius – We wanted to offer our members a high-profile educational and cultural experience, capable of combining direct knowledge of food and wine excellence with an in-depth comparison with production realities of international importance. This itinerary certainly represents an added value to the delivery of the award to the Territory, always designed to recognize and enhance the virtuous link between production quality and territorial identity”.

“For us, welcoming Vinarius means not only celebrating an award, but above all offering a concrete and lived narration of our wine-growing territory – he declared   Albino Zenatti, President of the Consorzio Vini del Trentino –. This is a precious opportunity: wine shops are a fundamental link in the wine supply chain, true ambassadors of our work in the territory. Their story, their expertise and the direct relationship with the final consumer make each bottle a conscious experience. Allowing our guests to experience first-hand the places, people and values that give rise to our wines means investing in authentic and lasting promotion, capable of creating deep links between quality production and distribution”.

A new trip is planned for October for other Vinarius wine shops, and on this occasion two other personalities who contribute to the promotion of the Trentino region will be awarded. VINARIUS Vinarius is the Association of Italian Wine Shops and represents over 120 members (whose total turnover is close to 50 million euros) covering the entire national territory. The association, currently chaired by Andrea Terraneo, was founded in 1981 and has as its social purpose the promotion, promotion and protection of wine shops as commercial activities specialized in the proposal of quality wine. The association deals with the training of wine merchants, their collaborators and employees, professional updates, identifying and implementing a whole series of activities that range from the organization of study trips to in-depth internships in the various production sites, actively participating in conferences, exhibitions, fairs, events of various kinds. Every two years Vinarius organizes and promotes the Vinarius Territory Award. Furthermore, it maintains important relations with the two major French counterpart associations. It periodically conducts surveys among its members to monitor trends, consumer demands, and market trends.
