From 4 to 9 June the week dedicated to the promotion of wines from native vines and oils from southern Italy returns.

Less than a month to go until Radici del Sud, the multi-event dedicated to the promotion of wines from native vines of Southern Italy that will be held in Gioia del Colle from 4 to 9 June 2025 with the patronage and contribution of the Chamber of Commerce of Bari, Navita, Acqua Orsini and the collaboration of Vinarius, Aepi and Ais Puglia . The international interest in the event is now consolidated with the presence of importers and journalists from foreign countries who will form the four juries of the competition, in addition to Italian journalists and wine merchants. This year the 4 tasting groups will be led by 2 foreigners and 2 Italians who are experts in Southern wines: Richard Baudains (journalist – Decanter), Hervè Lalau (journalist – Les 5 du Vin), Luca Matarazzo (Journalist – 20Italie) and Maurizio Valeriani (journalist – Vinodabere.it). The main function of the blind tasting is to promote and introduce, especially to the international public, those wines from native Southern vines that are still little known outside the national borders. Each year, the task of transferring their most identifying characteristics to Italian and international journalists or wine experts who are well acquainted with the wine-growing panorama of Southern Italy is entrusted to them. “ The competition tool, like all the other activities of Radici del Sud – says Nicola Campanile, organizer of the event – has always offered all operators a more immediate reading of the territories and wines of the South because the added value of the event is precisely the formula of comparison that has allowed the event to become a point of reference and a place of exchange for journalists, bloggers, tasters, Masters of Wine, operators and importers from all over the world. – Award Ceremony for the Winning Wines From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM , the Wine and Oil Show will be open to the public, with over 70 exhibitors including wine and oil producers and gastronomic products from the South. Here, enthusiasts and professionals will be able to taste all the wines and oils presented by the various companies and the gastronomic specialties offered by the food exhibitors. From 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM , the day will end in the food area and in the Winning Wines Room, where a buffet dinner will be served, including 4 tastings prepared and served by two renowned chefs: Giammichele Pagone (Plebiscito 7 restaurant – Casamassima) and Ottavio Surico (Borgo Antico restaurant – Gioia Del Colle).
