Consorzio Tutela Roero continues its tour of major Italian cities with a stop in Bologna.

The elegance of the Piedmontese denomination combined with the flavors of Emilian tradition to celebrate the meeting of excellence and territories.

Following the success of the first two events in Rome and Naples, the Consorzio Tutela Roero traveled up the Italian peninsula to Bologna for the third leg of “Roero in Tour,” the traveling project that brings DOCG wines to Italy’s major cities. The Consortium embarked on a journey dedicated to bringing Roero wines into contact with Italy’s major cities through a dialogue with the typical cuisine of each region. This time, it was time to delve into the heart of Emilia: Roero wines have conquered the Bologna scene, offering a high-profile sensory experience. This innovative format brought together leading industry experts, including the press, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and the finest interpreters of Italian wine for a unique opportunity for discussion, discovery, and connection.

The meeting in the Emilian capital provided another opportunity to highlight the enormous potential of the appellation, which unites the passionate stories of 258 members and the biodiversity of the terroirs of over 1,300 hectares of vineyards. A mosaic of hills, sandy soils, and microclimates that give rise to highly elegant wines, deeply rooted in the terroir and capable of expressing its every nuance.

The versatility of Roero DOCG is reflected in its five styles. Roero Rosso , an elegant expression of Nebbiolo grown on the Roero sands, and its more complex and long-lived Riserva embody the depth and finesse of the hilly soils. Roero Arneis , the denomination’s signature white, combines freshness and aroma, while Roero Arneis Riserva —introduced in 2017—exhibits structure and surprising aging potential. Completing the picture is Roero Arneis Spumante , which, with its vivacity, interprets Roero’s dynamic and contemporary personality in a modern key.

“Roero in Tour is our way of promoting the wines of the denomination and strengthening their awareness through targeted activities,” underlines Massimo Damonte, President of the Consorzio Tutela Roero.A shared growth journey that highlights the personality of our wines, faithful to their origins and at the same time capable of interacting with the tastes and needs of today’s market.

Roots and research, elegance and authenticity: this is the message we continue to convey and which makes our denomination unique.”

With the Bologna event, the Consorzio Tutela Roero confirms its commitment to promoting the wines of the denomination, introducing them to new audiences and contexts of excellence. This journey promotes Roero as a UNESCO World Heritage Site , one of Piedmont’s most distinctive wine-growing and landscape regions, and will continue with the next stop in Milan before the end of the year.
