“Calici di Puglia” arrives at Montecitorio: Puglia’s food and wine excellence showcased in Rome

The event is organized by UCoViP – Union of Consortia for the Protection of Puglia Designation of Origin Wines.

A tribute to Puglia’s excellence on Wednesday 22 October, at the Chamber of Deputies, “Calici di Puglia” will take place, the event organised by U.Co.ViP – Union of Consortia for the Protection of Puglia Denomination of Origin Wines , dedicated to the region’s excellent wine and food products.

A unique opportunity to taste DOP wines paired with traditional food products, appreciating the quality, tradition, and passion that make Puglia a benchmark for Made in Italy.

The protagonists of the evening are the 5 Consortia of certified Puglia wine: the Consortium of Primitivo di Manduria DOP , the Consortium for the Protection of Salice Salentino DOC Wines, the Consortium for the Protection of Castel del Monte DOC Wines and the Consortium for the Protection of Gioia del Colle DOC Wines and the Consortium for the Protection of Brindisi DOC and Squinzano DOC wines.

Completing the tour of the region with a tasting of DOP wines will be a selection of Puglia’s culinary delights: PGI burrata di Andria along with mozzarella, PGI capocollo di Martina Franca, PGI Pane di Laterza, friselle, taralli, almond-filled figs, focaccia, puccette, extra virgin olive oil, traditional sweets, almond paste, Andria confetti, chocolate, panettone, and pasticciotto will offer guests a food and wine journey exploring Puglia’s authentic flavors, culture, and traditions.

The event, scheduled for October 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, will be attended by representatives of institutions, trade associations, and industry journalists.
