A new format for the event that will take place on Sunday 14 September at Villa Mascotto, anticipating the Vicenza-style Bacalà Festival, with wines, cocktails, dishes based on PGI Lofoten Stockfish and much more.
Sunday, September 14th at Villa Mascotto in Ancignano di Sandrigo (Vicenza) Bacco & Bacalà is back with a host of new features. This eleventh edition introduces a revamped format that alternates different tasting options with in-depth mixology sessions paired with dishes featuring Lofoten PGI stockfish . An integral part of the thirty-eighth Vicenza-style Bacalà Festival, scheduled in Sandrigo from September 18th to 29th , the event is organized by Pro Sandrigo with the participation of the Vicenza-style Bacalà Confraternity, in collaboration with Emmebi Bevande of Marostica, culinary academies, and local Pro Loco organizations, who will be offering their traditional dishes for tasting.
The event will open at 12:30 p.m., with the option of purchasing a special lunch package in advance. Participants will also be able to sip delicious cocktails in the large park and under the porticoes of Villa Mascotto. in the gin corner and in the area dedicated to classic and non-alcoholic aperitifs – and discover the sparkling wines and white wines of the numerous wineries participating in the initiative, among which Tenuta Natalina Grandi, Tenuta Mancassola and Cantina Beato Bartolomeo di Breganze, partners of the event, stand out.
In this new edition Bacco & Bacalà will be enriched with two masterclasses: the first Bacalà o’clock: the alternative aperitif in Sandrigo will start at 12.00 , the second Stock-tail: the taste of combinations , instead, at 6:30 pm . Both will be led by Francesco Bruno Fadda , editorial director of The Over Magazine and curator of the Spirito Autoctono guide, and Lara De Luna , journalist for Il Gusto – La Repubblica . These two workshops will open the door to food and cocktail pairing by presenting three mixed drinks accompanied by three cod cicchetti . For those wishing to participate in the tasting, the cost is 25 euros per person; tickets are already available online until seats are filled.
The gastronomic offer this year will be particularly rich and varied : the public will be able to taste a trio of cicchetti based on of Lofoten PGI stockfish or Posina gnocchi , in the classic version or paired with cod. The Confraternita del Folpo of Noventa Padovana and the Club Sandwich Del Doge of Jesolo (Venice) will instead satisfy street food lovers with hamburgers and club sandwiches, in the classic version or with cod. To these delicacies will be added porchetta from the Pro Loco of Zugliano , the scartosso di Avannotti De.Co. from the Pro Loco of Bolzano Vicentino , cheeses from the Lattebusche cooperative and the highest quality raw meat from the Confraternita della battuta al coltello .
To enjoy the experience as an aperitivo, starting at 5:00 PM, Bacco & Bacalà will be open to the public with free admission and free drinks. Throughout the afternoon, the event will be accompanied by good music, adding to the convivial and enjoyable atmosphere.
The event is supported by the Fondazione Banca Popolare di Marostica Volksbank for its high-profile social purposes: the proceeds from the initiative will go to support the ambitious youth cultural exchange project Note sulla Via Querinissima , a musical work between youth orchestras along the historical cultural route of Pietro Querini in collaboration with the IC Zanella of Sandrigo and the Municipality of Sandrigo.
