On November 6th, Asolo Prosecco DOCG will be among the protagonists of the Slow Wine World Tour in Japan.
From the hills of the Asolo Montello area to Mount Fuji: the landscape and culture change, but the beauty remains unchanged, the common thread connecting the Asolo Montello Wine Consortium with Tokyo.
Just weeks before its 40th anniversary celebrations, the Consorzio di Tutela Vini Asolo Montello will participate in the Japanese leg of the Slow Wine World Tour 2025-2026 , now in its 16th edition, bringing a delegation of its member companies. The undisputed star will be Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG: the event will take place on November 6th in central Tokyo at The Strings Omotesandoh, with a tasting hosted by Gianpaolo Giacobbo and journalist Isao Miyajima entitled ” The Soul of Asolo .” Six Asolo Prosecco DOCGs will be tasted in the Sui Lieviti, Extra Brut, Brut, Extra Dry, and Dry versions.
In addition to the masterclass , a walk-around tasting will take place from 12:00 to 17:00, where 12 labels from member companies will be presented.
” In 15 years, Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG has grown from 1.2 million to over 32.4 million bottles produced, 60% of which are destined for foreign markets ,” says Michele Noal, president of the Asolo Montello Wine Consortium. ” Japan isn’t currently a leading market for us, but we’ve seen genuine interest that we want to cultivate. With the same goal, we’ll also be in Mexico in April to introduce ourselves to new potential markets and raise awareness of Asolo Prosecco Superiore DOCG .”
