The cocktail
Each year, a special cocktail is created for the Alta Langa Roma event. In 2024, De Russie presented “Alta Langa Roma,” in an official collaboration that also involved the Turin Vermouth Consortium. In 2025, “Alta Langa Passion” was created by Giacomo Colamarino, bar manager at Ai Piani/Sottobanco.
Alta Langa Roma 2026 will also welcome the contribution of signature mixology with the “Torino Royal” cocktail, created by Christian Comparone. The drink is a contemporary interpretation of Piedmont, bringing together some of its most distinctive expressions: Alta Langa DOCG, Vermouth di Torino PGI, and Rosolio di Torino, along with Frangelico, a liquid reminder of the Piedmontese hazelnut. The recipe—30 ml of Vermouth di Torino PGI red, 30 ml of Frangelico, 30 ml of Rosolio di Torino, 30 ml of lemon juice, and 100 ml of Alta Langa DOCG extra brut—creates a harmonious and layered balance, in which citrus, floral, and spicy notes intertwine with the verticality and complexity of the Metodo Classico. The result is a highly drinkable, well-rounded, and vibrant cocktail that showcases the distinctive characteristics of Piedmontese Alte Bollicine and showcases its versatility in the world of mixology. Christian Comparone, Bar Manager at Palazzo Ripetta, brings over fifteen years of international experience, gained in London, Sydney, and Tokyo, to this project. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with groups such as Hyatt and Hilton, developing expertise in management and defining quality and creative standards on a global scale.
