In Cervia (July 18), Riccione (July 25), and Cesenatico (August 8), a whirlwind of tastings and pairings featuring hundreds of wines, certified products, gourmet preparations, chefs, and sommeliers showcase regional food and wine to wine lovers, foodies, tourists, and visitors. In September, the tour concludes with stops in Emilia, in Spilamberto, Ferrara, and Piacenza.
The program includes special mini-tours to explore regional DOP wines.
After the Emilian preview in Correggio, Tramonto DiVino 2025 restarts on the Romagna Riviera with three stops : Cervia on July 18, Riccione on July 25, and Cesenatico on August 8. And it is precisely in Cesenatico that the Emilia-Romagna taste roadshow celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year, a sign of a continuing interest that has not suffered a crisis.
The 2025 tour was presented at Bagno Milano in Cesenatico, attended by the town’s mayor, Matteo Gozzoli; Cervia’s Councilor for Productive Activities, Mirko Boschetti; and Pietro Campaldini of the Emilia-Romagna Region’s Department of Agriculture. The regional wine industry’s elite were also in attendance: Davide Frascari, President of Enoteca Regionale; Luca Manfredi and Adolfo Treggiari, Presidents of AIS Emilia and Romagna; and Roberto Monti, President of the Romagna Wine Consortium. Representatives of local consortia and trade associations were also present. The event was coordinated by Maurizio Magni, journalist for PrimaPagina.
Format Sunset DiVino
Organized over a single evening to offer a comprehensive experience of the best regional food and wine in just a few hours, each Tramonto DiVino stop is held in a large city location—a historic center square, a fortress, or an urban park. The chosen area, in consultation with the partner municipalities, is set up as a veritable “taste arena,” where hundreds of foodies and wine lovers gather at the stands to sample regional wines paired with certified products.
The 2025 tour features many new features , remaining true to its mission of pairing regional food and wine with multiple tastings. The tasting tables will feature 30 DOC, DOCG, and IGT wines from Romagna and Emilia, for a total of approximately 1,000 different labels . AIS (Emilia and Romagna) sommeliers will describe and pair them with a generous selection of the region’s 44 DOP and IGP products, and, starting this year, with seafood from the Adriatic.
What’s new for 2025: the protagonists and in-depth tours
Each stage of Tramonto DiVino highlights one or more products, both wine and food, making them the true protagonists with a unique display and dedicated communication. The protagonists will be showcased by the chefs and paired with unique wines. A new highlight for the 2025 Tramonto DiVino tour are the seafood products of the Northern Adriatic, which will co-star at various stages thanks to co-financing from the Feampa program.
During the event, special attention will be paid to promoting PDO wines through mini-tours led by sommelier-tasting experts, showcasing and promoting the Emilia-Romagna denomination labels. At each stop, four selected PDO wines will be explored in depth by sommeliers during mini-tours for around ten wine lovers. The tour is free for enthusiasts, but registration is required at the event entrance.
The wines for tasting
Around 1,000 labels will be tasted, divided into various stages: from Albana, Trebbiano, and Sangiovese di Romagna, to Pignoletto dei Colli Bolognesi, Lambrusco di Modena and Reggio Emilia, the Ferrara-based “sand wines,” Piacenza’s Gutturnio and Ortrugo, and the Malvasia wines shared with the Colli di Parma. The wines will also include many blends with international wines, from semi-sparkling wines and classic method sparkling wines to dessert wines and straw wines. These wines will be described and served by an impressive array of liveried sommeliers. Around 300 labels representing all the regions will be present at each stage, in addition to the Best 100 and 12 ambassadors , wines that have received the highest recognition this year in the AIS Regional guide.
Certified products
Accompanying the wines will be certified regional products, provided by the partner consortia of the regional PDO and PGI products: Emilian greats like Parma Ham PDO, Modena PDO, Piacenza PDO cured meats, the fragrant Bologna PGI Mortadella, and brief forays into other cured meats like Salame Cacciatorino PDO, Coppa di Parma PGI, and Salame Felino PGI. And then there’s the king of cheeses, Parmigiano Reggiano PDO and Squacquerone di Romagna PDO, the ever-present Piadina Romagnola PGI, Romagna peaches and nectarines, Bologna PDO potatoes, traditional balsamic vinegars from Modena and Reggio Emilia, and Modena PGI vinegar, Central Apennines PGI white veal, Romagna PDO shallots, and other delicious surprises.
The 2025/2026 AIS Guide ‘ Emilia-Romagna to Drink and Eat ‘ is a handbook for tasting evenings. It is delivered to all participants at each stage of the food festival. Together with the Vini Emilia Romagna App, which can be downloaded free of charge from all stores, it allows you to get in touch with regional wine production through the stories of expert tasters from the local AIS.
Stages & News
It all kicks off on July 18th in Cervia with the Craft Gin Summer Fest, a special stop on the tour dedicated to spirits. Starting at 7:00 PM in Piazza Costa, between the historic Torre San Michele and the Magazzini del Sale, certified regional foods will pair with a selection of artisanal gins from across Italy. Regional gins and spirits will also be the focus of a large tasting table curated by Enoteca Regionale Emilia Romagna, where a small brigade of bartenders led by Stella Palermo, aka Monica & Tonica, will mix innovative cocktails inspired strictly by the region. Adding to the evening’s spectacularity will be a tasting table featuring Salumi Piacentini DOP (Protected Designation of Origin), featuring the AperiDOP (Protected Designation of Origin) creative mix of cocktails and Piacenza delicacies, a gourmet risotto made with Romagnola mussels, and a refreshing dessert featuring Black-Buckle Watermelon from the Dolce Passione Consortium. An agreement with the Fiepet Confesercenti tourist facilities in Cervia will allow tourists and restaurant and hotel guests in Cervia and Milano Marittima to enter the event with a fast-track lane.
Following this, “Tramonto DiVino in Villa” (Tramonto DiVino in Villa) will take place on Friday, July 25th in Riccione. This event is dedicated to tourists and visitors to the Riviera, who last year, thanks to an agreement with the local Federalberghi (Italian hotel association), enjoyed the unforgettable food and wine experience of Emilia-Romagna. This event is particularly rich and will feature two protagonists: Piadina Romagnola IGP, featuring a gourmet piada and a dessert with Piadina IGP crumble by Emilian street food maestro Daniele Reponi; and Adriatic Fish, interpreted with flair and skill by Matteo Salbaroli of the CheftoChef Emilia-Romagna Cuochi Association, a partner of Tramonto Divino, with a delicious amuse-bouche of bluefish and a traditional pasta dish filled with cuttlefish ragù. Accompanying the food preparations will be a special guest: the Novebolle collective brand bubbles, created to promote the Romagna Spumante DOC, curated by the Consorzio Vini di Romagna, paired with a precious selection of Culatello di Zibello DOP and Parmigiano Reggiano DOP.
The final stop on the Riviera will be the historic evening in Cesenatico, where Tramonto DiVino was founded in the summer of 2005, scheduled for Friday, August 8th in Piazza Spose Marinai. Making this stop unique, set between the sea and Leonardo’s harbor, will be a tasting stand featuring award-winning international wines from the Brussels World Wine Competition, of which Tramonto DiVino is a partner. These wines will pair with Romagna’s Novebolle sparkling wines, which can be sampled alongside Goro oysters and samples of tartare of Vitellone Bianco dell’Appennino PGI. The star of the event and the gourmet recipe prepared by chefs from the Pellegrino Artusi Institute in Forlimpopoli will be the Patata di Bologna PDO, a “border” dish celebrating Emilia and Romagna together. Three hundred regional wine labels and finger food tastings of certified regional cured meats and cheeses, nectarines, and fresh black-skinned watermelon from the Dolce Passione Consortium . Tastings curated and served by students and instructors from the Pellegrino Artusi School in Forlimpopoli complete the array of tastings. In Cesenatico, too, thanks to an agreement with the local Cooperative of Bathing Establishments, beachgoers will have discounted entry to the event.
Starting in early September, the Tramonto DiVino caravan will move to Emilia for a stop on September 5th in Spilamberto in the Modena province, home to Lambrusco and Modena Traditional Balsamic Vinegar DOP. Following this, on September 10th , it will be Ferrara ‘s turn to host Tramonto DiVino in Piazza Municipale, co-organized with the local Wine and Flavors Route, with Adriatic fish as the star attraction, brought to life by the fishermen of Goro. After Ferrara, Tramonto DiVino will stop in Piacenza on September 19th , under the splendid portico of Palazzo Gotico in Piazza Cavalli, with two local highlights: Piacenza DOP cured meats and Grana Padano DOP, served alongside other regional food products paired with great wines from across the region.
In addition to the stages dedicated to wine lovers and industry professionals, there will be another invitation-only evening on July 22nd at the Rocca di Dozza , home of the Enoteca Regionale Emila Romagna, organized to reward the producers of the 112 wines that obtained the best scores in the 2026 AIS Guide, previewed during the stage.
During the events, the storytelling of chefs, journalists, and sommeliers will transform the gastronomic events into cultural encounters, interspersed with lounge music and surprise incursions, such as the bubbles of the Regional Classic Method Award (Giuliano Zuppiroli).
