Stable with 40 heads of beast contains 160 heads | Dairy Farm | Restaurant | Church

A long avenue of poplars leads to the ancient double courtyard of the farmhouse, a structure with a taste and charm from the old 19th century Lombard farmhouse. In reality its origin is much older, a map owned by today’s family of owners bears witness to its existence as early as the 1500s. At the time it was presumably a

convent as evidenced by the precious little church located inside the property. It can be visited on request and is often open to the public for religious services during the liturgical year. After its purchase in 1999, its restructuring was aimed at achieving a high level of technology and functionality.

Within the company, four production centers are well established, the 40 livestock fields, the stable, the shop and the restaurant, highlighted below:

THE FIELDS

All fields are owned by the company and all grouped together, arable and irrigated. Their product is partly sold, and partly used to satisfy the needs of the herd of the herd.

THE STALL

The barn hosts the place where high quality milk is produced in the fully automated milking parlor. Partly the milk produced is used and transformed in the dairy, while the remaining part is sold to a company in the Lodi area which then sells to Granarolo. Currently the herd is made up of about 40 animals, it can hold 160 animals, between lactation and comeback, and the main breed is the Friesian.

THE SHOP

Inside the courtyard is the dairy where, using the milk produced on site, more than 50 types of cheese are produced, from fresh, to seasoned seeds, to seasoned cheeses. Besides cheese production, the dairy specializes in the production of yogurt and more than 15 types of ice cream made with only genuine ingredients.

The attached shop deals with direct sales at zero km as regards the dairy products and a series of other refined products, strictly Italian and from other farms.

THE RESTAURANT

A restaurant consisting of two rooms, a “fireplace room” where a large working fireplace warms up the cold winter evenings and the other “wine room”, where the ceiling is characterized by antique bottles exposed on a grillage .

The last annexed room, used for large private events, is the “refectory hall” characterized by the typical structure and furnishings of the rooms of the ancient convent refectories. Here you can admire frescoes of the time.

THE CHURCH

The small church: completely restored and privately owned, located to the right of the entrance door to the building, it is dedicated to San Carlo Borromeo and today is consecrated and used for small ceremonies such as Eucharistic adorations and moments of prayer.
